finally letting go…

30 Jul

…of my intense and irrational dislike of Jerry Yan and the rest of his bunch, the annoying crying girl in Dragon Love, and even Ella. Yes, I would even watch Myolie as long as she keeps grimy little paws off Joe Ma. If they never act as love interests again, this mood of toleration will continue.
(you thought it would never happen, ne?)

And so now I can gamely face the prospect of Jerry playing(and ruining) Tsuruga Ren in that new drama that still hasn’t even been approved of yet. Nothing against Jerry.  Just that I personally feel Tsuruga Ren = a role no human can satisfyingly play (prove me wroooong!!!!! PROVE ME WRONG!!! *plea directed towards Japan only though* I do not want a Korean version to take Nakamura-sensei’s work  and turn it into their own. Bad enough that the Taiwanese are doing it already). For Mogami Kyoko, Ariel Lin…c.m.i.

Possibly Horikita Maki might be able to do something with it.

On a totally unrelated note, today I bumped into a friend I hadn’t spoken to in a while in uni.

So there we were, walking and chatting and then he asked,

“So, what class are you going for now?”

I replied

“Psychology.”

He said

“Eh. I thought you were doing Science.”

As I’ve blogged about before, I am no stranger to people assuming that Psych is purely and wholly and only an Arts, so I went

“I am in Science, and Psych is my major.”

Usually at this point people just go “Oh I didn’t know that Psychology was a Science.” I am too used to such words and so was prepared for them, but what came next was new in its  complete sincerity, and so took me by surprise.

“You’re lying! Haha, don’t lie. Psych is an Arts.”

By then the expression on my face was probably “o_O ~!!!!!!!”

He didn’t even believe me when I took out my timetable to show him the Psych lectures and tute.
(I blame it on Genetics for having almost the same number of contact hours per week as both my Psych subjects combined)

We had to go our separate ways and I think he still believes that:
a) I am lying to him about my major
b) Psych is Pure Arts.

Both very distressing.

I knew the misconception was prevalent but I didn’t realise how deep the misunderstanding was.
-.-
